Some New Twists On Valentine’s Day Favorites

heartsIt seems like we’re just starting to recover from Christmas, but now Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. If you’re tired of giving the same old gifts and really want to WOW the special person in your life this year, now is the time to start brainstorming the perfect gift.

While we love a lot of the traditional symbols of love that surround Valentine’s Day, sometimes it’s fun to turn tradition on it’s ear and look for new ways to gift old favorites.

Flowers – Instead of the dozen roses that you usually send, why not get a gift that will last? You can buy, or even make, dozens of carved wooden roses, or even flowers make from pretty colored paper. Not only will they last longer, so your beloved can hold on to them for years to come, but they’ll also be so unique everyone will want to know how she got them.

Chocolates – The traditional heart shaped box of chocolates has long been a popular Valentine’s gift. If you’re not a big fan of candy, why not switch this one around with a box full of their favorite treat? You can fill a heart shaped box with trail mix, popcorn, dried fruits or any other snack and let them nosh on something they actually wanted!

Jewelry – Some people will tell you nothing less than diamonds will do, but we think there are a lot of lovely alternatives! Give them a starter bracelet and a few DaVinci beads with their birthstones or favorite animals. It will be personalized just for them and you can continue to build on it over the years!
