DaVinci Charm BraceletDa Vinci Charm Beads – It’s no secret that most women adore jewelry, and it’s also no secret that most of us don’t have the time or money to buy as much as we’d like! Da Vinci beads jewelry is perfect for both of these reasons. Not only is it easy and affordable for you to start a charm bracelet or necklace for your mom, grandmother or wife for Mother’s Day, but it will be just as easy and affordable for her to add to it over time. Snoozies – Have Mom’s bedroom slippers seen better days? Have they trekked out to the porch one too many times to get the morning paper, leaving them dingy and dirty and just plain drab? Then it’s time to treat Mom’s feet to Snoozies! Lined in Sherpa fleece, and decked out in over a dozen different patterns to choose from, Snoozies foot coverings fall somewhere in the comfortable middle between a slipper and a sock. And whether you opt for Pink Ducky Snoozies, Zebra Snoozies, Peace Sign Snoozies or any of the other fun and colorful patterns, the price is just as nice at $12. They’re also shrink-resistant and machine washable, which means Mom can toss them in the wash when they start looking like the slippers she’s wearing now!

DaVinci European-Style Charm Beads Make a Great Gift for Great Grades!

DaVinci Charm Bracelet

When I was a kid many years ago, my parents made no promises as to what little presents I might earn with good grades. I was taught that good grades were a gift unto themselves – evidence that I had taken my time in class as a true opportunity to listen and learn, and listen and learn I did. With a few exceptions, I was an ‘A’ student, and eagerly anticipated Report Card Day the way some kids look forward to the last day of school. Don’t get me wrong – I still loved summer. I may have been a bit of a nerd, but I understood that for as much as I liked math, spending the whole day in the swimming pool was a whole lot better! But I was taught to appreciate them both – to appreciate it all, whether the last day of school or the first. And…I did.

I loved the first day of school with its new pencils, papers, lesson plans and lunch with friends, and I loved the last day of school, which marked several months of late nights with no bedtime, trips to the ice cream shoppe, and Kick-the-Can ahead. I also appreciated the present the last day of school brought along, the little gift from my Mom that showed she was proud of all the studying and hard work I’d put in that year. My present was never something I picked out explicitly, though it was sometimes something I mentioned wanting. It was never promised in advance as a guaranteed reward for specific performance, such as ‘earn an A, earn an Xbox’. That style of work-and-reward may work well for some families, but for ours my mom’s method was perfect. While I knew there was a present ahead, I also knew those good grades were worth more than that.

I’ve always been a girly girl when it comes to makeup and jewelry – the more the merrier, whether I have room or not! As such, my gifts were often of this variety, and many of them I still have to this day. If your daughter is also a jewelry-lover and you’re looking for something special to gift her for a school year well-done, consider beginning a DaVinci charm jewelry piece. At, we offer DaVinci Toggle Charm Bracelets, Bangle Charm Bracelets and Charm Necklaces, as well as lobster claw bracelets, earrings and key chains. We also offer oodles of beads to decorate your charm jewelry, with charms suitable for everyone’s unique interests!

When you start a charm bracelet for someone, you are gifting them something they will adore forever. Over time, it becomes a wearable scrapbook – a beautiful, visual illustration of who they are, all they’ve done, and where they’ve been. Much like a person themselves, a charm bracelet grows over time, but there is one distinct difference. While our charm jewelry will eventually fill up, and we’ll have to move on to starting a new bracelet or necklace to complement the first one, we never fill up. We have infinite space for accomplishments; and endless opportunity to learn new things. And that’s a good thing, because there are a lot of DaVinci beads to choose from, and a lot of experiences to call your own. :)

Enjoy a Lazy Saturday in the Sun with a Springbok Puzzle!

Springbok Puzzle

When we think of putting together puzzles, we often imagine a snowy evening spent by the fire with a cup of cocoa (extra marshmallows!) wearing flannel pajamas and snuggly slippers. And, to be fair, this is a perfect puzzle-putting-together scenario that I’ve happily enjoyed more than once! But there is no reason that the puzzles have to get tucked into the far depths of the closet when the first rays of spring sunshine smile upon us. In fact, putting puzzles together can be just as fun in the spring as the winter, and make a wonderful way to spend a Saturday relaxing alone or with family and friends.

I know I am not alone in often forgetting that weekends are designed to be a time to decompress. The work week is full of frantic, with everything from deadlines to oil changes to getting the kids to dance class and soccer practice on time and with all their necessary equipment. Add the fact that we have to eat and shower at some point every day, and that whole sleeping thing, and it feels like one long day from Monday morning until 5pm Friday. And what do most of us do on Saturday and Sunday? Pack them just as full as we did Monday through Friday until our brains can barely breathe. And that is precisely why you need a Springbok puzzle!

Chances are good that you’ll be prepping your porch or patio for spring soon, stowing away the shovels and pulling the lounge chairs from the corners of the garage. Why not make this task more fun by giving yourself a reward when it’s all done? Instead of rushing to the next item on your to-do list once the lawn chairs and patio table are cleaned, pour yourself a fresh glass of iced tea, turn the radio or iPod up to your favorite station or song, and get ready to relax away the day with a Springbok puzzle from Coppin’s superior selection! Reclaim your Saturday while keeping your brain alert and your eyes scanning the pile for the corners. Remember the time-honored puzzle tradition of finding all the outside pieces first. Give yourself a break from the endless loads of laundry and dishes, while giving your car a break, too! Put together a puzzle, and see how something so small can make such a big difference in your well-being. Welcome back…the weekend missed you. :)

Easter Basket Ideas Your Kids and Their Dentist Will Love!

Webkinz Angora BunnyFor most kids and adults alike, there is no harm in enjoying the occasional piece of candy. Candy can bring back many fond memories and even play an important role in creating new traditions and future amazing memories. After all, it isn’t without good reason that grandmothers always have a sweet something tucked away in their pocketbooks for the kiddos – they know we’ll remember those treats forever! But like so many good things, there can be too much of it. There can be too much candy. And too much of this calorie-packed indulgence can lead to excess weight and that 8-letter word we all cringe when we hear at the dentist – cavities. Yes, moderation is most definitely key when it comes to candy, but moderation is something that is easier said than done during the holidays when candy is at every corner we turn! And moderation is possibly the most difficult for children sitting in awe of a chocolate-filled Easter basket brimming with bunnies, jelly beans, marshmallow peeps and more! So what’s a parent to do? Add some balance to the basket with non-candy treats they’ll love just as much. :)

If your child’s basket contains just a few pieces of candy, they’re more likely to enjoy those pieces slowly and avoid that sugary rush that leaves them darting around the house like a Zhu Zhu Pets Bunny, only to crash a little while later. They will also get more long-lasting enjoyment from trinkets and toys than candy will bring. We’ve put together a few Easter Basket ideas for children of all ages. All are well-priced and full of fun!

  • Webkinz Angora Bunny – This oh-so-adorable addition to the Webkinz family is among their softest and snuggliest yet! Her long ears are propped up in surprise as she stares back with that loving gaze that Ganz always captures so well in their premium stuffed animals. Awesome for any age, this little lady is just $13.49.
  • Digital Photo Keychain – Kids love sharing their favorite pictures with friends just as much as adults do, and a digital photo keychain lets them do just that. Our digital photo keychain holds up to 60 pics, and it will be fun to help your child choose which they’d like to add. Don’t forget to include a few from Easter morning!
  • Snoozies – Perfect for tweens, teens and moms alike, Snoozies foot coverings (think slipper-sock hybrid!) are fun to wear and fun to look at. Coppin’s Hallmark offers a superior selection of designs to match everyone’s unique personality so you can keep your feet warm in style. Machine washable – shrink resistant – just $12 a pair. What’s not to love?!
  • Springbok Puzzles – Instead of over-indulging in tons of sweets, you and your children can have a relaxing afternoon putting them together with Springbok’s Treats and Sweets 1000 piece puzzle. Cupcakes, candles, sprinkles and more come together for a puzzle scene that looks good enough to eat, but is calorie-free and fun for the whole family!
