Halloween Safety Tips for Kids from

Halloween is just days away, and it’s important to make sure that your kids are safe when they go trick or treating.  We have some Halloween safety tips for kids to ensure that this spooky holiday is both safe and fun!

Halloween safety tips

Coppin’s Gifts Safety Tips Just for Kids

-First of all, don’t go into a stranger’s house unless your parents are with you.  Your parents are there to make sure you’re safe.

-Be extremely careful when you’re crossing the street.  Look in both directions and make sure that no cars are coming.  Hold hands with the other kids in your group.  If the street has a stop light, make sure the light says it’s safe to cross.

-If you are an older kid going out without parents, make sure they know where you’re going.  It’s only right for everyone involved to have some peace of mind.

-This isn’t so much a safety tip as it is a bit of common sense.  Vandalism is never a good idea.  It might seem cool to throw eggs at cars and houses, or to throw toilet paper into a tree.  But that’s not what Halloween is all about.

-The most important Halloween tip is to have fun!

Everyone here at Coppin’s Gifts wishes you a safe, happy, and ghoulish Halloween!

Oct 28th is Plush Animal Lovers Day

You heard us right.  Thursday is Plush Animal Lovers Day, and we sure have enough plush animals here at Coppin’s Gifts to help you celebrate the day in style!  How are you going to celebrate with your plush animals?  We have a few ideas for you.

  • Throw a tea party with your plush animals.  Little kids love playing games with their Pillow Pets, Webkinz, and Uglydolls.  You can join in with your kids as they have a tea party to celebrate Plush Animal Lovers Day.
  • If you’re an adult that has a bunch of plush animals, have a little get together with some of your friends to share them.  Bring them all out, and talk about how you got them and why each one is so special.
  • Buy some new plush animals!  We have a bunch here at Coppin’s Gifts.
  • Take your plush animals to work or school with you.  Talk to your kids’ teachers beforehand and let them know that Plush Animal Lovers Day is coming up.  If you’re in college, go ahead and take it with you.  Have fun!  If you work in an office, put your plush animal on your desk.

Have a happy Plush Animal Lovers Day!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We love October because we love the fall weather and all that comes along with it. But October is more important than that! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we at Coppin’s Gifts figured it would be a good idea to pass along a bit of information.

Breast cancer is caused by malignant cells in the breast tissue. And breast cancer doesn’t discriminate. It affects people of all ages, races, and it even affects some men. American women actually get breast cancer more than almost any other cancer (it’s only surpassed by some forms of skin cancer). It’s second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in women. So we urge each and every one of you to know how to properly perform a monthly breast self-exam. After all, early detection is the best medicine out there.

If you want to support the cause, we have some Pink Ribbon DaVinci Beads for you to choose from. It’s a simple way to let a survivor know that you’re thinking about them. It’s also a great way for you to fashionably join the fight against breast cancer. These DaVinci Beads are the perfect gift for those special women in your life— whether it’s October or not.
