We’re Wild About Willow Tree

willowtreeThe figures have become almost iconic and are seen in homes all over the world. You might even have one in your own home. We’re talking about Willow Tree figurines, of course!

The Willow Tree line was first introduced in January of 2000 by artist and creator Susan Lordi. She hand carves each original sculpture that is used to cast the pieces you’ll find around the globe. Susan was inspired by the friends and family around her and used those to create her Willow Tree line. The figurines are meant to be an intimate line of sculptures representing the qualities that bring us close. They express love, healing, hope and more.

The sculptures are designed to reflect the simplicity of nature and bring a feeling of peace and serenity. The simplicity is what makes them so powerful – the power of a mother’s love or the warm embrace of a friend in difficult times can be interpreted through their gestures.

Coppin’s Hallmark carries the entire line of Willow Tree figurines. Why not start a new tradition or add to your collection today?

He Sees You When You’re Sleeping…

The Elf Is Watching!

The Elf Is Watching!

Santa will be here in just one week! We can hardly believe it. The season has flown by, but good old Saint Nick has been keeping a close tab on all of us with the help of some of his elves! We hope you’ve all been good this year, but even if you’ve been naughty it’s not too late to turn things around. Santa’s special helper, The Elf On The Shelf, is on duty until Christmas Eve and he’s still watching!

The Elf On The Shelf is a wonderful tradition for families both young and old. Adopt one of Santa’s elves and he’ll live in your home and keep a careful eye on the family through the holidays. He even takes requests if there’s something extra special on your list this holiday season. Just make sure not to touch him or he’ll lose his magical powers!

If you’re looking to add to your holiday traditions, The Elf On The Shelf is a wonderful way to involve the kids in the magic of the holiday season. Read the story of your elf at the start of December and then again on Christmas Eve before the kids go to bed to wait for Santa to arrive!

What kind of Christmas Eve traditions do you have in your homes?

You Mean I’ve Gotta Wrap Them?

Wrapping gifts doesn't have to be a chore!

Wrapping gifts doesn't have to be a chore!

All your gifts have been bought and are nestled snug in your closet… wait, the closet?

Many people love wrapping up Christmas presents each year and take great pride in their display. Some of us, however, might have gotten passed over when the wrapping talent was handed out! But don’t dismay! Now that you’ve finished your Christmas shopping, we’ve got the tips you need to make any gift look like a million bucks!

  • Use boxes – awkwardly shaped items can be hard to wrap, and you end up with presents that look like bizarre little Christmas aliens under the tree. If your gift doesn’t already come in an easy to handle shape, look for boxes at mall, post office or your local Hallmark.

  • Measure your wrapping paper – we know you’d rather be out baking cookies or building snowmen, but it’s really critical to take some extra time and measure your paper first. This way you won’t cut too short or end up wasting paper. Even just sitting the present on the paper and pulling the roll up around it can save you a lot of time and aggravation.

  • Get a pop-up tape dispenser – these changed the game when it came to wrapping presents. The pop-up dispenser sits on your wrist and frees up both hands for holding the paper in place while you tape. It’s a fast and inexpensive way to improve your wrapping.

  • Have some gift bags on hand – You should always have a back up, just in case. A cute gift bag filled with Christmas themed tissue paper can look just as lovely!

With a little time and effort, you can wrap fun and elegant presents. Once you’ve mastered the basics, look for fun embellishments like flowers, bows and other trinkets to wow your friends! You’re well on your way to giving fun and polished looking gifts.
